**
words against a screen
this hand held before you
for a brief, fearful moment
will fade,
yet somewhere music will continue to play;
a garden will grow; children will dance with joy.
still between us now
only ashes scattered
by a voice make sense.
i poke at language
hoping against its silence.
**
harvest cocktail for a warmed world
as we begins to shift,
light shatters—things fall
but people simply float near new shores
.....risen with waters grown restless.
still we talk of
property values and of
getting in before the rush,
but we do not notice the bodies
piled before our feet or
the stench of cities covered.

"in an instance you will forget
this systemic error"
if i could begin over with an image of who i could be, i would not, for a random placement of memories is more consistent with my being.
count to thirteen and
.......................................then jump
........................................................falling through
...................................................................................afternoon light
in waters we breath
finding only the gunships company
in situation lost.
**
a word
guarded in the center
where no visitors stumble
looking for the key
or
hidden near the fridge
in a dark corner
a dark thing that
spills loins in the
pits of the city
hollowness filled
home of rooting life
in the home
with
far too often
breaking ridges at top
that remember
many cities.
